Ear and nose cancer, primarily known as Squamous Cell Carcinoma (SCC), predominantly affects white cats, targeting the non-pigmented fur regions of the nose and ears. This type of cancer is notably aggressive yet typically slow to metastasise. Without timely intervention, it can eventually spread to regional lymph nodes, leading to further complications.

The first indicators of SCC may be mistaken for minor injuries: small, persistent scabs that do not heal, often misunderstood as signs of outdoor adventures or skirmishes. Unlike regular sores, these scabs persist and worsen, leading to ulceration and bacterial infections secondary to the cancer.
